    Ambulance Fleet
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) are an integral part of this department. Most of our call volume is centered around medical calls for service. As perhaps the most important part, we have committed to providing medical staff during the week.
EMT Basic certification is a valuable skill that the department encourages all members to be a part of. The department meets monthly to discuss and address a wide variety of medical-related topics in a continuing education format in order to keep with current trends and emergency treatment issues that impact patient care.
We have just recently upgraded our service to a BLS/ALS (Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support) agency! We recently hired a full time Paramedic to staff the station during the week, a first for our EMS Service! We do still rely on our other ALS partners such as American Medical Response and Airlife, Flight For Life for patient transports. This is due to our distance from major hospitals. These relationships ensure that patients get ALS (Advanced Life Support) contact when necessary and in the case of emergent need, Flight For Life helicopters reduce transport time significantly.
